missing beaver letterbox

The beaver letterbox at Beaver Lake Nature Center was missing on July 1; is the beaver truly lost or hasn't it made it out this year ?
(this is a seasonal box due out in April - very nasty weather here)
PS - St. George - we enjoyed the box at the Salt Museum- thanks!
